Just like previous incarnations of this absurd hoax, it is once again completely untrue. One of the earlier versions of this hoax appeared back in 2014, and claimed NASA had confirmed 6 days of darkness during October of that year. That rumour initially started courtesy of a popular fake news site called Huzlers.com, and was soon disseminated across a variety of fake news slash clickbait type websites with more concern for luring traffic to their pages than publishing accurate news. And over the years, many other versions have since popped up on a number of different clickbait websites, only with the dates changed to suit the publication date of the article. Previous incarnations have quoted October 2014, November 2015 and October 2016. The number of days the darkness will allegedly last for also varies anywhere between 6 to 15 days, depending on what version of the hoax you happen across.-
